SWSC Alpine -
Here is the most recent communication from Stratton regarding conditions at the mountain:
“We appreciate everyone’s patience as we continue to navigate extreme weather conditions. With wind gusts still intensifying, our Mountain Operations team has been actively assessing conditions and looking ahead to tomorrow’s forecast. High winds with gusts up to 100 mph are possible tomorrow. If this forecast holds true, we may see a similar situation as today (Monday).
“Our team is dedicated to operating, but we won’t have a full picture until Tuesday morning. The plan is to prepare the mountain overnight and assess at sunrise. We expect the first major operations update at 8AM. Check back often as we will be updating frequently with the information at hand.”
We will follow tomorrow’s mountain ops evaluation and communicate with the entire club once we have clarity on the resort’s status in the morning and the impact on tomorrow’s camp.
